Schaffner EMI Filters

• FN 3530 (Ecosine Active Sync Series): As an active harmonic filter, it effectively eliminates harmonics generated in industrial environments like semiconductor factories. It significantly improves the power quality of sensitive wafer processing and test equipment, preventing malfunctions and maximizing productivity.

• FN 3450 (Ecosine Passive Harmonic Filter): This is a passive harmonic filter specialized in reducing harmonics generated by 6-pulse rectifier loads, such as motor drives. It is a solution for stabilizing the power quality of motor drives built into key equipment in semiconductor manufacturing (e.g., pumps, chillers, robots), preventing performance degradation and ensuring long-term stability. At a rated load, it lowers the THDi (Total Harmonic Distortion current) to less than 5%, greatly improving the efficiency and reliability of the power system.

• FN 5420 (Sine Wave Filter): A sine wave filter that converts the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) output voltage of a motor drive into a smooth sine wave. In automation robots and precision transfer systems, it prevents motor overvoltage, overheating, and bearing damage, extending equipment life and ensuring stable operation.

• FN 2220: This is a filter specifically designed to effectively remove EMI from DC (direct current) power. The FN 2220 effectively eliminates noise from the power supplied to these DC-based devices, preventing malfunctions and increasing stability.

• FN 3311: This filter is optimized for removing noise generated on high-current 3-phase AC power networks. Separate from harmonic filters, it effectively attenuates a wide range of EMI/RFI noise. High-current equipment in semiconductor fabs like large pumps, chillers, and HVAC systems often generate significant EMI noise. The FN 3311 prevents this noise from spreading to other sensitive semiconductor equipment, protecting the power environment of the entire factory.

• FN 9290: An ultra-compact, multi-functional power inlet filter. It integrates an IEC connector, fuse, and switch, making it highly suitable for small-sized equipment with limited space. In semiconductor processes, devices like small test equipment, measuring instruments, and auxiliary power supply units require high space efficiency. The FN 9290 is directly integrated into the power input of these devices, blocking EMI noise and ensuring stable operation.
