지난 7월 7일 문재인 대통령은 네덜란드 마크 루터 총리와 화상 정상회담 가져 반도체 분야에 긴밀한 협력 관계를 약속하였습니다. 네덜란드는 유럽 연합 국가 중 한국에 대한 직접 투자액이 가장 많은 나라며, 교역액도 역내 2위 규모입니다. 이러한 투자와 무역액 대부분이 반도체 산업과 관련되어 있습니다. 네덜란드에는 반도체 제조용 극자외선 (EUV) 광학 노광 장비 제조사인 ASML과 자동차용 반도체 등 비메모리 반도체 분야에서 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖춘 NXP사가 있습니다. 한국은 반도체와 자동차를 생산하는 국가이기 때문에 이러한 회사들은 한국에 중요한 파트너입니다. 

이렇듯 양국이 반도체 산업 분야에서 긴밀한 협력이 이루어질 수 있도록 주한 네덜란드 대사관은 이번 SEDEX에 참가하여 네덜란드 반도체 산업이 한국 기업과 더욱 더 활발한 교류가 이어질 수 있기를 희망합니다.

Last 7th of July, President Moon and the Dutch Prime Minister Rutte had an online summit and promised to closely cooperate on the Semiconductor industry. The Netherlands ranks the first in terms of the largest Foreign Direct Investment to Korea among the European countries, and the ranks the second in terms of the trade amount. Largest part of this result is related to the Semiconductor Industry. In the Netherlands, there are ASML which manufactures EUV equipment and NXP which manufactures chips for automotive. These companies are an important partners for Korea as there are many semiconductor companies and car makers. Due to this reasons, the Netherlands Embassy in Seoul office is participating in the SEDEX to meet with the Korean semiconductor industry stakeholders and we wish to have an active cooperation in the near future.
